We offer personalized one-on-one running coaching tailored to your individual goals. Dr. Bill Evans' approach integrates evidence-based training methods with a focus on optimizing your performance through customized training, thoughtful progressions, strength training, and injury prevention.

Meet your Coach

With a PhD in Exercise Physiology, over 20 peer reviewed publications in the field, and experience coaching at the D1 level, Dr. Evans is one of the most qualified coaches in the space. As a current professor of exercise science, he's passionate about both coaching and teaching so you can train smarter, not harder.

 

Our training draws from foundational coaches like Jack Daniels and Arthur Lydiard, while integrating modern methods e.g., The Norwegian Method. With several "prove it" sessions, you will know exactly what shape you are in before you ever get to the line.

 

With a focus on evidence-based training, you will get better, or we'll coach you for free until you do.

My plan is customized running programs are designed to meet your specific needs that uses an 80-20 time intensity distribution. I employ both linear and undulating periodization and update your training monthly to adjust as you improve. Each session is crafted to help you achieve your running goals efficiently and effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. Do I need any equipment? A. Other than running shoes, absolutely not! If you can tolerate strength training and want to add it, we can get creative depending on your resources.

Q. I am new to running, is this right for me? A. Yes! As long as you are willing to train consistently, be proactive, and patient, we can definitely make a good pair.

Q. I have a busy schedule, and sometimes it changes, is that a problem? A. Nope! I write you a plan, but the real key is that we work around your schedule and busy life. This to me is where we differ from other services.

Q. Do you program strength training or give nutritional advice? A. Yes! I do provide strength training, but this usually requires a conversation to figure out what you need and why. In other words, we don't just prescribe it lest you get hurt. As for nutrition, I can give advice based on the literature and standard guidelines, but I am not a registered dietician, though we can connect you with RDs as needed!

Q. Can I cancel my subscription at any time A. Yes! I also offer several different subscription options.

Q. How does the guarantee work? A. I have one main guarantee: You will improve your performance within the first 2 months (milage, pace, PR, or interval pace). This only applies to athletes that aren’t dealing with injuries, aren’t in season, and have a training age under two years. For the this guarantee, you need to provide me with your training logs on the first day and throughout the plan. After a deload week, perform the same workout/run prescribed in an earlier session (with accurate heart rate data). You MUST have a 100% completion rate of the workouts we assign during this time.
